The arrangement your guests see for four hours
Ceremony flowers get 30 minutes. Your centerpieces get the entire reception. Guests sit beside them for dinner, photograph them, and talk over them all night. A centerpiece that is too tall blocks eye contact. One that is too short disappears in a large room. One that is the wrong scale for the table crowds place settings or leaves awkward gaps.
We design every centerpiece for the specific room it will sit in. We account for ceiling height, natural and artificial lighting, table diameter, linen color, and the number of place settings per table. The goal is an arrangement that feels intentional, not dropped into a generic spot.

Centerpiece styles we build
Low and Lush
Dense, mounded arrangements that sit at or below eye level. Guests can see and talk across the table without obstruction. Built in footed bowls, mercury glass, or wooden vessels.
Tall and Elevated
Raised arrangements on clear, gold, or silver risers that place flowers above eye level. The base is slim to avoid blocking sightlines. Ideal for ballrooms with high ceilings.
Greenery Runners
Loose eucalyptus, ruscus, or ivy garlands running the length of rectangular or family-style tables. Candles, votives, or scattered blooms woven through the greenery.
Mixed Height
A combination of low and tall arrangements distributed across tables to create visual variety in the room. Prevents the "sea of sameness" effect in large receptions.
Candle Groupings
Pillar candles, taper candles in holders, or floating candles in glass vessels surrounded by minimal floral accents. Clean, romantic, and effective in dim lighting.
Floating Arrangements
Submerged flowers or blooms floating on water in clear glass cylinders. Modern, unexpected, and particularly effective under pin lighting.

ROOM PLANNING
Designing for the whole room, not just one table
A single centerpiece design repeated 25 times creates a flat visual experience. We approach centerpiece design at the room level, not the table level.
That means we consider how the room reads from the entrance, from the head table, and from the dance floor. Tables near walls may need taller arrangements to fill vertical space. Tables in the center of the room can go lower. Head tables and sweetheart tables get their own treatment entirely.
We also design supporting floral elements that make the reception feel cohesive: bar flowers, buffet garlands, cake table arrangements, escort card displays, lounge area accents, and restroom florals. These small touches are what separates a room that feels “decorated” from one that feels designed.

Common questions about reception centerpieces
How much do wedding centerpieces cost?
Centerpiece pricing depends on arrangement style, flower selection, vessel choice, and table count. Simple low arrangements in glass bowls cost less than tall elevated designs on custom risers. We price per table and provide exact totals in your design proposal.
How many centerpieces will I need?
One centerpiece per guest table, plus arrangements for the head table, sweetheart table, and any display tables (escort cards, cake, gift, etc.). We calculate the full count during the consultation using your venue floor plan.
Should I choose tall or low centerpieces?
It depends on your room. Tall arrangements work in ballrooms with high ceilings. Low arrangements work in intimate spaces, outdoor tents, and rooms with lower ceilings. Mixed heights work in larger receptions to create visual variety. We recommend based on your specific venue.
Can centerpieces be moved from the ceremony?
Yes. Altar arrangements, arch florals, and aisle pieces can be repurposed as bar arrangements, buffet accents, or additional table decor during the cocktail hour transition.
Do you supply the vases and vessels?
Yes. Vessel selection is part of the design. We carry glass, mercury glass, gold, silver, ceramic, wooden, and acrylic options. If you have a specific vessel in mind (vintage finds, family heirlooms), we can design around it.
How do you handle tables of different sizes?
We adjust arrangement size for each table diameter. A 72-inch round table gets a larger centerpiece than a 60-inch round. Rectangular tables get a different shape entirely. Every table gets a proportional design.
Can I take centerpieces home after the reception?
Yes. Many couples assign centerpieces to guests or family members as favors. We can also arrange for donation to local care facilities after the event.
What if my venue has low lighting?
We design with lighting in mind. Candle-heavy designs, light-colored blooms, and reflective vessels maximize visual impact in dim receptions. We also offer uplighting as part of our full event design services.
Do you set up the centerpieces or just deliver them?
Full setup is included. Our team places every arrangement, positions candles, adjusts for final lighting conditions, and ensures every table looks right before guests enter the room.
